Data Deletion

You can ask us to delete your data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens after you request it.
Request deletion by email
Email hello@ekathi.com from the email or Instagram handle associated with your data, with the subject "Data deletion request". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
If you connected your Instagram account
- You can disconnect your account from your shop dashboard at any time — this immediately stops further access to your Instagram data.
- You can also remove Ekathi from Instagram directly: open Instagram → Settings → Apps and websites and remove Ekathi.
- To delete the data we already stored from your connected account, email us (above) and we will remove it within 30 days.
If you have an Ekathi account
Request account deletion by email and we will permanently remove your account and associated data (profile, favorites, and activity) within 30 days.
If your public content was indexed
If your business's publicly posted products were added to the directory and you want them removed, email us with a link to your shop or listings and we will remove them.
What we delete
- Instagram access tokens and connected-account data.
- Cached product data and stored images associated with your request.
- Account profile, favorites, and activity (for account deletions).
Some records may be retained where required by law, after which they are deleted.
